FeelTrip.io - filling a long time travel gap
A decade ago I realized that when I didn’t have a pre-determined destination, there wasn’t an efficient way for me to find out. I had constraints and preferences but no method of turning that into something actionable. With AI and others needing a similar solution, we have started FeelTrip.io
Most travel apps are optimized for when you have a destination in mind. We wanted to create an app that took in constraints and preferences and produced a list of results of destinations. Example - we have a group of friends, that would like to go someplace warm over the summer with a budget of 300 daily for hotel and food and travel, only spending 2-4 hours of travel time.
On the front end, the app takes in constraints and preferences and the agent queries our DB and APIs for matches. The AI learns what results work best with what combination to learn and get more accurate over time. Exploring a destination opens a restricted travel agent chat agent with your pre-filled preferences to offer up a customized experience
Claude is under the hood, surfacing up the prompts and recording the answers
Destinations are scored and presented. During beta, users can rank, adjust and remove results to help our AI continue to learn and adjust
Users select required data we need to score the results, but also optional data that we can leverage in the future for deeper insights and more customized destinations. Additional destination info and sample itineraries can be powered from this in subsequent iterations
