Hello, I’m Andrew
I am Andrew Antal. A failed entrepreneur (Binary Mechanics), product person, soccer fan, and amateur carpenter. Chicago is home, but have worked on both coasts, as well as internationally. I am a big fan of listening, observing and asking questions. I believe in compromise but I don’t mind saying no, and will tell you why and have reasoning and data to back it up. I think being comfortable saying “I don’t know” is powerful. I will challenge assumptions, including my own. I pay attention to biases both spoken and in product or service experiences. I am a big fan of Human and User Centered Design approaches. I believe most experience improvements are incremental but always keep my eyes open for larger opportunities. I pay attention to the Peak/End Rule. I speak German, enjoy travel, building things, gardening, cooking and meeting new people. Topics that constantly interest me: AI, human psychology, anthropology, relationships, happiness, the impact of social media on our lives, economics.
I have a BA in Economics and an MBA (Finance and Economics), a wonderful wife, a spunky 10 month old daughter2 cats and an exceptionally goofy hound named Indiana Bones.
